On September 17, 1979, Shaun King was born in Franklin County, Kentucky. After Morehouse College, he worked as a research assistant for a history professor until he graduated in 2002. After graduating from college, Shaun King began speaking for an Atlanta juvenile prison system as a motivational speaker.
Following that, he entered the ministry. In DeKalb County, Georgia, King quit his teaching job to become a pastor at Total Grace Christian Center.
